Meet our Founder

Sarah Stephen

Founder & CEO

Sarah’s career spans over a decade in corporate and marketing communications. Prior to founding Adia Creative Agency, she led public relations and executive communications at Deloitte US. Before that, her commitment to African development and conservation led her to the African Wildlife Foundation where she engaged in fundraising and communications efforts for wildlife, landscapes, education, and local enterprises across Africa.

She also led external communications and offered strategic philanthropy advice to philanthropists and high-net-worth individuals in Africa and the diaspora. This significantly deepened her desire to amplify underrepresented voices and foster sustainable development in underserved communities.

Sarah’s experiences offer a unique blend of expertise in cultural engagement, philanthropy, and strategic communication, enriched by extensive international experiences and a profound connection to her African heritage. As a Nigerian American born in New Orleans to parents from Akwa Ibom and Opobo Kingdom in Nigeria, her work is deeply influenced by the diversity of her African roots, extensive experience across Africa, North America, and Europe, and her Christian faith.

Driven by her experiences and background, Sarah champions impactful projects and campaigns that enhance cultural understanding, amplify the works of Black creators and their allies, and foster global development.
